Key Credentials
Anti-aging medicine, properly understood, is not the attempt to stop aging. It is the medicine of restoring, from within, the cellular capacity for repair, tissue homeostasis, neurological function, metabolic function, and immune function that decline with age.

Regenerative Medicine — Autologous Adipose-Derived Stem Cell (ADSC) Therapy

Japan's most advanced cellular renewal — IV + intrathecal dual approach

What Is ADSC Therapy?

Mesenchymal stem cells harvested from your own adipose (fat) tissue are cultured to high purity and administered to restart your body's own repair programme. The ADSC does not merely replace damaged cells — it functions as a mobile biofactory, secreting growth factors, exosomes, and immunomodulatory molecules that simultaneously address multiple hallmarks of aging.

"The ADSC is not a cell that replaces a defective spot precisely; it functions as a mobile biofactory carrying layered information and resources."

The Dual Approach

Intrathecal (IT)Central nervous system — cognition, neuroprotection, synaptic function50 million cells

Areas of Application

ADSC acts on at least 8 of the 12 Hallmarks of Aging (López-Otín et al., Cell 2013/2023).

  • Anti-aging & whole-body rejuvenation
  • Cognitive preservation & brain fog
  • Alzheimer's disease prevention
  • Parkinson's disease progression
  • Post-stroke recovery
  • Spinal cord injury
  • ALS / Multiple system atrophy
  • Arterial stiffness & metabolic health
  • Skin quality & hair restoration
  • Chronic fatigue & energy
  • Erectile dysfunction
  • Hormonal & autonomic balance
Japan Exclusive: Shimbashi DAY Clinic Tokyo is the sole institution in Japan legally authorized to administer autologous adipose-derived stem cells via the intrathecal route — delivering cells directly across the blood-brain barrier to the central nervous system.

Cell Quality — Grandsoul Nara CPC

  • Proprietary culture protocol — non-cryopreserved, high-viability (≥96%)
  • Xeno-free, animal-component-free culture
  • GMP-aligned QC including genetic stability testing (array CGH)
  • 8+ years of follow-up — no tumour formation reported

Four Key Mechanisms of Action

ADSC operates as a "mobile biofactory" — not replacing damaged cells, but reorganising the disease environment across four biological pathways simultaneously. This multi-layered approach cannot be replicated by standard pharmacotherapy.

1 · Neurotrophic Factor Secretion

BDNF, GDNF, NGF, NT-3 — homing to the site of neuronal injury, blocking the apoptosis cascade and sustaining dopaminergic neuron survival. CSF analysis shows NGF levels rising 100× within one week of intrathecal administration.

2 · Mitochondrial Recovery

Restores Complex I activity, reduces reactive oxygen species (ROS) overproduction, and normalises ATP synthesis — targeting the metabolic root of neurodegeneration rather than its downstream symptoms.

3 · Exosome Pathway — α-Synuclein Suppression

Exosomes (30–150 nm vesicles) enter neurons and suppress abnormal α-synuclein aggregation — the hallmark pathology of Parkinson's disease — via mRNA methylation regulation (FTO pathway). A cell-free mechanism unique to ADSC.

4 · Microglia Repolarisation

IL-10 and IL-4 secretion shifts microglia from M1 (pro-inflammatory) to M2 (neuroprotective) phenotype — silencing the chronic neuroinflammation cycle that accelerates disease progression in Parkinson's, ALS, and other neurodegenerative conditions.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many times do I need to visit Japan?
The standard course involves 7 visits to Japan over approximately 12 months: Visit 1 for pre-treatment examination and fat harvest, then Visits 2–7 for the 6 treatment sessions at intervals of 4–8 weeks. Follow-up consultations are available online.
Is the therapy safe? What are the side effects?
As an autologous transplant using your own cells, immune rejection is theoretically negligible. Reported side effects are mild and transient (low-grade fever, headache, post-puncture headache resolving with rest). In 8+ years of clinical data, no serious adverse events have been reported.
What is the fee?
The standard "Total Rejuvenation Master" course is ¥30,000,000 (inclusive of 10% consumption tax). This includes all 6 sessions, biological age measurements, comprehensive examination, and 2-year cell line storage. Visa support, airfare, and accommodation are available as separate options.
Do I need to speak Japanese?
Not at all. English is provided directly by physicians and nurses. Qualified medical interpreters are available for Chinese, Korean, and other languages. Our international coordinator will support you from inquiry through to post-treatment follow-up.
Is ADSC therapy specifically suitable for Parkinson's disease?
Yes. Unlike levodopa and DBS — which compensate for dopamine deficiency or electrically modulate abnormal circuits — ADSC therapy targets the disease process itself: neuroprotection of surviving dopaminergic neurons, suppression of α-synuclein aggregation, mitochondrial recovery, and reduction of chronic neuroinflammation. This is classified as Disease-Modifying Therapy (DMT). It is used alongside, not instead of, your current medications. The 2024 Tokyo real-world data (136 patients, 473 IV+IT infusions) reported meaningful improvements in tremor, freezing of gait, wearing-off, depression, and sleep quality — with zero serious adverse events. Patients are encouraged to discuss this therapy with their primary neurologist; our clinic provides written treatment data to support shared care.

Immunotherapy — NK Cell & NKT Cell Therapy

Activate your immune system from within

What Is Immune Cell Therapy?

NK (Natural Killer) and NKT (Natural Killer T) cells are key soldiers of innate immunity — capable of detecting and eliminating abnormal cells including cancer cells and virus-infected cells. As we age, the number and function of these cells decline. Immune cell therapy cultures and amplifies these cells from your own blood and returns them to your body at high concentration.

Treatment Menu

TreatmentIndication
NK Cell TherapyCancer prevention, infection prevention, immunity enhancement
NKT Cell TherapyAdvanced immune activation, various cancers

Key Benefits

  • Enhanced cancer surveillance
  • Infection resistance improvement
  • Adjunct cancer therapy support
  • Chronic fatigue reduction
  • Immune-mediated anti-aging
  • Improved post-treatment recovery
Immune cell therapy is understood as a complementary approach. We strongly encourage coordination with your primary physician. All treatment plans are reviewed individually during consultation.
Procedure
Blood collection → Cell separation → NK cell expansion & cultivation (approx. 3–4 weeks) → Administration
How many sessions are needed?
The number of sessions and cell count are determined individually based on your health goals and consultation results. Please contact us for details.
Can I combine this with ADSC therapy?
Yes. ADSC and immune cell therapy are complementary. Many patients choose a combined approach for both systemic renewal and immune activation.

Why Japan

Four Elements,
Rarely Combined

Japan is one of the few countries where regenerative medicine whose safety and ethics are assured at the national level is delivered as part of routine clinical practice.

I
A National Framework of Safety & Ethics

Japan's Act on the Safety of Regenerative Medicine (2014) classifies all MSC therapy as Class II — requiring committee approval, ministry submission, accredited cell manufacturing, 10-year record retention, IRB review, and mandatory adverse event reporting. This is among the world's most rigorous frameworks.

II
Proprietary Cell Quality — Grandsoul Nara CPC

Cells are manufactured at Grandsoul Nara Cell Processing Facility, our joint venture partner. Non-cryopreserved, ≥96% viability, xeno-free culture in Class A–D cleanrooms, with GMP-aligned genetic stability verification. The gold standard for intrathecal-grade cell preparation.

III
Perioperative Safety — Anesthesiologist-Led

Our clinic is directed by a board-certified anesthesiologist — a discipline uniquely trained in risk assessment and acute response. The "culture of safety" cultivated in 633+ annual hernia surgeries is applied to every phase of regenerative medicine — from harvest to administration to long-term follow-up.

IV
Japan's Only Intrathecal ADSC Authorization

Shimbashi DAY Clinic Tokyo is the sole institution in Japan legally authorized to administer autologous adipose-derived stem cells via the intrathecal route — delivering cells directly to the central nervous system across the blood-brain barrier. Available, in this form, nowhere else in Japan.
